Nine Tips and Tricks to Cure Your Bad Breath

Bad breath is more common than the common cold. And it’s called the “common” cold for a reason. Sometimes, no matter what you do, you will still have bad breath. Even if you can brush your teeth twice a day and use mouthwash, you might still have bad breath. But so do a lot of people so it’s nothing to sweat about. But it is still annoying, so here are some tips and tricks to help fight bad breathe from home.

Tip 1: Identify the Cause of Your Bad Breath. Even if you adhere to all the tips in this article, you might still have bad breath. This is because it might not be your teeth that are causing the bad breath. It might be the result of an untreated cavity or gum disease that is making your breathe smell bad, or an infection of the respiratory tract. But more often than not, it has something to do with your mouth and what is inside it.

Tip 2: Rinse Your Mouth With Water. Water can be as good as an alcohol based mouthwash if used properly. This loosens the food particles in your mouth and doesn’t let them stick inside as easy. This means that less bacteria will be able to grow in your mouth and less stinky foods will be caught in it.

Tip 3: Clean Your Tongue. In addition to cleaning your teeth, your tongue is also important. As are your guns, the roof of your mouth and even under the tongue. Your primarily use your teeth for eating and chewing, but he good goes all over your mouth, not just over your teeth. Your teeth are only a fraction of your mouth, so if you only clean them, only a fraction of your mouth is clean. This leaves your gums, lips, tongue, and cheeks unclean and ready to start growing bacteria and eventually that bad breath. You can use a spoon to clean the inside of your mouth if you don’t have a toothbrush immediately available. And if you don’t have a spoon, you can use your teeth to clean your tongue, and you newly cleaned tongue to get at anything your teeth can’t.

Tip 4: Keep your mouth wet. Saliva acts as a natural acid to break down food. Keeping your mouth wet will ensure any food you can’t get at, like something between your teeth, is slowly being broken down so it can eventually be moved out of that tight space. If you can’t manage to generate enough saliva, eat something really quick, preferably something tasty, and that can stimulate the saliva production in your mouth. The more saliva, the cleaner your mouth will be. But not too much, you don’t want it drooling out of your mouth.

Tip 5: Avoid Strong foods: Foods, like certain onions and garlic mainly, contain sulfur compounds that will produce a rotten egg smell that is difficult to get rid of. If you plan on going out later in the day, don’t have lots of garlic.

Tip 6: Baking Soda: Yes, baking soda will help keep your teeth clean and hence white. Keep a small pile of baking soda in the palm of your hand and dip a damp toothbrush into the baking soda. Use this technique like regular toothpaste, and many of your breath problems will be resolved. Maybe even removing the garlic smell if you didn’t have too much.

Tip 7: Veggies and Cheese: Fresh vegetables, such as celery and carrots, and cheese will actually remove plaque from your teeth and help keep your mouth refreshed and clean. Eating your veggies last can make sure your teeth stay cleaner, even after a large meal.

Tip 8: Spices. The best way to get rid of your bad breath fast is with aromatic spices. Sucking on a cinnamon stick helps a lot. Fennel (anise) or clove seeds helps too. Also, chewing on fresh spices like dill, parsley, and sage can be a great benefit as well. Especially sage, which actually contain a nice punch of antibacterial compounds.

Tip 9: Apple Cider Vinegar and Lemon Juice. Apple cider and vinegar combine to make an acidic compound that will help clean your teeth, but the apple smell overpowers the vinegar so your breath doesn’t smell worse. The same goes with lemon juice. A small swish of lemon juice, which is quite acidic, will freshen your breath and clean it too.

So now you are armed with the best tools and know-how to clean your mouth from home and cure your bad breath. Whether you read this for yourself or for a friend, you can look forward to cleaner, fresher, breath.

Tingling in legs

Introduction

Tingling in left leg is the consequence of the irregular flow of blood between the feet and the lower back put in jeopardy. It can also be as a result of intense pressure on the nerves which run between the lower back and the feet. The nerve on being meddled with shoots an ache to the leg and it usually feels as though the pain has engulfed the entire leg. Such tingling or numbness, as some call it, maybe experienced in both the legs.

Common Causes of Tingling in Left Leg

Be it compromise in the blood flow or pressure on the nerve, the ache or tingling in left leg may be detrimental to the entire leg or foot. A change in the position of your leg may aggravate these eventualities. Let's understand the common causes which result in tingling in left leg.

1. Bulging Disc - A bulging disc also better known as herniated disc. The vertebrae in the spine are protected by a shock absorber tissue known as the Disc. This Disc is also a space creator between the spine and the vertebrae. A bulge is created on this disc when it is damaged or renders weak. How is this bulge formed? Upon damage, the soft tissue is pushed to the outer peripheries of the disc which results into a bulge. In worst case scenario, small pieces of disc can break free if cracked. This may happen if one has weak discs or suffers from degenerative arthritis. Another general cause of bulging disc takes place as a consequence of inappropriate lifting of heavy objects.

2. Peripheral entrapment - Peripheral Entrapment occurs due to pressure on the nerves or blood vessels in areas close by to the spine. For instance, the trail through the knee and the ankle, muscles in the pelvis, leg muscles or the hips. The tightening or inflammation of the muscles in the areas of the pelvis, leg or the hip can put a significant stress on the nerves or any blood vessels running through them. If the blood vessels or nerves do not have enough gaps to pass, they may disorganize the bones of the hips, knee, ankle or pelvis. This is basically when the joints start to ache.

3. Encroachment of Foramina - Foramen is the opening hole or passage in the spine. When the holes or the passage in the spine is encroached i.e. it becomes narrow, the nerves running through it are pressured. Head movements or poses alleviate these nerve pressures. The reason for encroachment of foramina is degenerative changes in the spine. These changes lead to spurring of the bones and loosing of the height of the disc which eventually obtrude into the foramen. Such narrowing of the hole of the spine aggravates nerve pressure.

Summary
The tingling in left leg can be healed thoroughly with appropriate spinal and neurologic test. Some experts suggest chiropractic treatment too as a course to cure the condition. This largely benefits with quicker relief in the ache and reduces risk of anything persistent. Proper therapy and treatment should be followed for a lifetime of respite.

Skin Care - How to Cleanse

Your face is generally the first thing people see when they meet you. You don't want to make a bad impression with flaky skin or acne, but some people naturally have problems with their skin and complexion, and it can be rough trying to keep those skin problems under control.

The basic element in taking proper care of your skin is learning how to cleanse it. You will need to use products that won't exacerbate your particular issues, and sometimes you may have to try a few different things to find out what works best for you.

Caring for Oily Skin

Oily skin can be tricky to deal with. If you start to feel a little greasy, it is natural to feel like washing your face, but over-washing can end up drying out your skin too much, or making your skin produce even more oil.

People with oily skin are often more prone to acne and that produces a whole other issue to deal with. If your acne is beyond what you have been able to control with over the counter products, it may be best for you to consult a doctor or a skin specialist. There are some prescription medications that could provide more help for your situation.

In the meantime, if you have mild to moderate acne, or you just need to dry out your oily skin a bit, you will probably find that cleansing products containing salicylic acid can help. There are countless cleansers on the market that you can choose from, whether you prefer name brands like Clean & Clear and Clearasil, or you can often find less expensive versions in store brands.

The key with these products is not to overuse them. You should only use them to wash once or twice a day, and stop using if your skin becomes dry or flaky.

You can also find acne spot treatments that often contain salicylic acid to apply directly to pimples and help them dry out and disappear more quickly.

Caring for Dry Skin

Dry skin can also be difficult to deal with. Generally, you will need to find more gentle cleansers, and possibly follow them up with moisturizers. There are many dry skin helpers on the market, like Vanicream and Cetaphil.

These products most often don't work up a lather like other cleansing products and soaps. Even if you have acne issues, you should try to avoid most acne washes, as they will only dry your skin out further. You will not want to wash your face more than twice a day either.

There are also many facial moisturizers on the market that will help your problem areas without over-moisturizing and making your face feel greasy. Most body lotions or scented lotions should not necessarily be used on the face, as they may be irritating to the skin, or to the eyes and sinuses.

Caring for Combination Skin

Many people are unlucky enough to end up with combination skin. Parts of the face may be oily, while others are dry. This makes it very difficult to find the proper items to buy to keep your skin looking its best.

You will most likely want to stick with lighter cleansing products that will not over-dry the dry areas of your face. You may need to occasionally use a cleanser containing salicylic acid if you have issues with oiliness and acne, but you will probably need to follow up with a very light moisturizer.

Combination skin sufferers can find plenty of oil-free moisturizers that will usually do the trick of moisturizing the areas of your skin that need it, without making the oily areas even worse. You can also use spot treatment of acne areas, so that you don't end up with flakiness in your problem dry areas.

Conclusion

Sometimes it can take a while to get your perfect skin cleansing regimen down, but the fact is, there are so many cleansing and moisturizing products on the market, that you should eventually be able to figure out what works best for you. If you try a new product and find that your skin is irritated in any way, you should stop use immediately.

Whenever you have extreme problems, you should consult a physician or dermatologist. Often skin problems can be a sign of a deeper health issue or allergy that you may need to be treated for. Don't give up on your skin, because it is just as important to keep it healthy as it is the rest of your body. And remember that drinking lots of water can cure all kinds of skin ailments, so always try to stay hydrated.

The Good and the Bad about the Cuisinart SM-55BC

Having a stand mixer can be a major advantage over a hand mixer or just stirring with a spoon, but some are much cheaper than others. The question is, does a higher price necessarily mean higher quality? In the case of the Cuisinart SM-55BC, many users and reviewers have found that it is well worth the larger-than-average price tag. Selling anywhere between $300 and $600-plus, the mixer holds 5 ½ quarts and can be operated at 12 different speeds. Of course, there are good points and bad points to every product.

Pros

-     Attractive: The Cuisinart SM-55BC comes in brushed chrome, and it looks nice compared to some other mixers. You can keep it shiny and new looking, even after multiple uses.

-     Lightweight: The mixer is not as heavy as some other brands and models, so it's easier to move when necessary, like if you want to store it in the cupboard. You don't have to leave it sitting in one spot simply because it's too heavy or bulky to move.

-     Power and stability: This Cuisinart model is able to handle heavy dough without shaking or breaking.

-     Diversity: It is good for mixing both smaller and larger amounts of dough, or whatever else you're stirring up.

-     The timer: The Cuisinart SM-55BC features a handy timer that you can set if you want to mix something for a set amount of time. This is very convenient, as you don't have to worry about under- or over-mixing, or about finding another timer to use.

-     Convenience: Most of the parts are dishwasher safe, so cleanup is made much easier and less time-consuming.

-     The warranty: You can rest easy knowing that the product is warrantied for three years and the motor for 5. So even if you do have an issue with your mixer, you can likely have it repaired or replaced within this timeframe.

Cons

-     Loud: Some users have found that the mixer is extremely loud when in operation. This can be bothersome for some people.

-     Overheats: There are reports of the Cuisinart SM-55BC overheating and shutting down. Some have claimed that they experienced this with every use, while others have only had it happen a time or two, or not at all.

-     Meat grinder doesn't work well: There is a meat grinder attachment which a few users have had trouble with. It may overheat the unit, which causes it to shut down, as mentioned above.

-     Doesn't always stand the test of time: A number of users have reported problems with this Cuisinart mixer simply quitting, whether it was during the first few uses or after a few months of use. Most often, it seems, the warranty may allow a return, but not everyone is satisfied with the terms of the warranty.

-     The warranty: Apparently, when you have an issue and wish to return your Cuisinart SM-55BC, you will be responsible for covering the shipping and handling charges. While this may be preferable to buying a whole new standing mixer, many consumers have found it to be too pricey and too much of a hassle to make the effort worthwhile.
